    Popular Features Send an appointment:
    1. Select "new" and choose "meeting request."
    2. Enter the names of your meeting attendees.
    3. Identify the meeting location.
    4. Select the "scheduling" tab to review schedules and identify a meeting time
    5. Type in an accompanying message if desired.
    6. Click the send icon.
    Create a personal mailing list:

By creating a mailing list you can send an e-mail to many recipients without typing in all of their addresses. Unlike a Outlook resource, others cannot send e-mail to your personal mailing lists. Only you can send to the group. You can create as many personal lists as you want.
    1. Go to the "Tools" menu and click on "Address Book."
    2. Double click on all of the names that you want included in the list.
    3. Click "Save Group" under the list of selected names.
    4. Name the group and add it to your personal address book.
    Create an auto-reply:

The auto-reply option is useful for letting others know when you'll be out of the office for an extended period of time.

Although rules are most commonly used for auto-replies, there are many other options. For example, you can create a rule to auto-delete e-mails that come from a specific e-mail address (this can be beneficial to limit spam e-mails). You can build and edit rules the same way that you created an auto-reply.

    • To set up a rule:
      1. Go to "Tools" and select "Rules & Alerts."
      2. Select "New Rule."
      3. Enter a rule name, such as "vacation message."
      4. Set the desired conditions of the rule

    • To set up out of office rule:
      1. Go to "Tools" and select "Out of Office Assistant."
      2. Enter text for auto-reply message
      3. Select "I am currently Out of the Office" to activate rule.
    Grant someone proxy access:

The proxy features allows you to grant others access to all or part of your Outlook account, such as your schedule. The proxy feature is also used when you have access to multiple Outlook resources. The owner of an account or resource is the only person who can grant someone else proxy access.  For detailed instructions on proxy access, review Sharing and Permissions. Archiving your mailbox:
    1. For detailed instructions on how to automatically archive your personal Outlook mailbox, review Outlook Auto Archive Configuration.
    2. For detailed instructions on how to manually archive your personal Outlook mailbox, review Outlook Manual Archiving for Resources.
