    • Common area phones:

      In University Apartment Communities (Kenmore Apartments, Sanctuary Hall, Centennial Hall, Sheffield Square, and Belden and Courtside Apartments), there is an additional telephone jack located in your common area (i.e. living room or kitchen). An extra phone can be plugged into this jack. Your common area phone will have its own phone number but will not have voicemail. Common area phones do not have voicemail.

    • *3:

      This allows you to pick up an incoming call from any telephone within your apartment even if it is ringing on a phone different from the one you answer.

      1. Pick up any phone in your apartment when a phone rings.
      2. Dial * 3.
      3. You will then be connected to the incoming call.


    • Calling waiting:

      When you are on the phone, a clicking noise indicates that you have an incoming call.

      1. To answer this call, press the switch hook (hang-up button)
      2. To return to the first call, press the switch hook again.
      3. To deactivate call waiting on your line, dial *5.
      4. To reactivate call waiting on your line, dial *4.


    • Three-way calling:

      1. Press the switch hook while on an active call.
      2. Dial the phone number of the third party. (Remember to dial "9" for all outside numbers.)
      3. Press the switch hook when the third party answers.


    • Call forwarding:

      1. Pick up handset and dial #1.
      2. Dial the extension you wish to forward your calls to.
      3. To cancel call forwarding, pick up the handset and dial #1 again, and hang up.
