Minimum Requirements
Minimum Hardware:
- 10/100 Mbit Ethernet card or built-in port (sometimes referred to as a network interface card or NIC)
- 1 standard RJ-45 Ethernet cable (8 pins on both ends)
Minimum Software:
- TCP/IP software installed (included in most major operating systems)
- Any Web browser (also included in most major operating systems)
- The Help Desk can offer support if your computer has: Windows 2000, XP or MAC OS X operating systems
The university Technology Contact Center (TCC) (Ext. 2-8765) can help students set-up a personal computer and register for access to ResNet. Please note that the Help Desk cannot offer general technical support for personal computers, i.e. equipment not owned by the university.
