Essential Services-All Students

The following list introduces some of the technology resources that are available to students at DePaul. If you click on a topic header, you will find additional information and forms within the IS site. Quick access to all forms is provided in the "IS Forms" link at the top of this page.

Campus Connection
  • Campus Connection is a Web site that consolidates access to many of DePaul's primary services and transactions including course registration, grades, tuition billing, and much more.
  • Students receive their Campus Connection passwords either by mail with orientation materials, or in person at student orientation.
  • In addition, students can obtain their Campus Connection password by visiting the ID Services office with a valid photo ID.
E-mail
  • New students are supplied with a DePaul student e-mail account (address and password) when they pick up their DePaul Cards at any ID Services office.
  • Use Internet Explorer to check your e-mail at https://studentweb.depaul.edu.
DePaul Card
  • Your DePaul Card is your identification to access various DePaul buildings and services, such as the library, Intelliprint, and your Demon Express account.
  • New students receive their DePaul Cards at student orientation.
  • A student can also visit ID Services to receive a card.
Demon Express
  • Declining balance account based on cardholder deposits
    • Deposit cash, check or charge at the Cashier’s office:
      • Lincoln Park – SAC 151
      • Loop – DPC 9900
    • Deposit cash at any Value Transfer Station (VTS)
  • Uses - cafeteria, coffee shops, bookstore, photocopies, printing from campus computers, vending machines, payment for ID Service and/or library fees
CTA U-Pass
  • The CTA U-Pass is a transit pass that eligible students can use for unlimited rides anywhere on the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) system.
  • Students can pick up their U-Pass at the designated location and time of the official U-Pass distribution at the beginning of each academic quarter.
Computer Labs
  • Computer labs are located on each campus for student use.
  • Access is free for all DePaul students with a valid DePaul ID card.
Intelliprint
  • The Intelliprint system allows students to print from DePaul computer labs.
  • Students use their DePaul ID card to pay for prints. Additional funds can be added as needed.
Computer Discounts
  • Several computer makers offer student discounts.
  • Contact the university's Procurement office for more information.
Wireless Network
  • If you have a laptop computer, you can move around campus and still stay connected to the DePaul network.
Student Technology Training
  • Media Production & Training (MPT) offers free technology training for Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Students can access on-line training for Blackboard, Campus Connection, as well as computer programs.
Essential Services-Residence Hall Students

Telephone and Voicemail Set-up
  • Lincoln Park residence hall rooms are equipped with telephone connections and standard calling features including voice mail, call waiting, three-way calling, and call forwarding.
  • Details are provided shortly before or during move-in weekend.
ResNet
  • Each DePaul University residence hall room is equipped with a high speed Internet connection.
