Repair a Card Reader

Notify technical staff of problems or to make repair requests:
  • Before submitting a repair request, please verify that the problem affects more than one cardholder. If only one cardholder is affected, please send him or her to ID Services so that the individual's card and account can be examined.
  1. To submit a repair request, please contact the DePaul Technology Contact Center (TCC) at Ext. 2-8765 and have them create a ticket for your request.

  2. Provide as much of the following as possible:

    • Your name
    • Your department, building and room number
    • The type of reader you are calling about
    • Your phone number
    • Your e-mail address
    • The problem(s) you are experiencing with the reader:
      • Error messages, which lights are displayed, physical damage, etc.
      • Description and location of the reader.

  3. IMPORTANT - If you are having problems with a security reader after business hours, please submit the repair request AND alert Public Safety at the appropriate number below:
