DePaul Cards
The DePaul Card is your official identification while at DePaul University and available to students, staff, faculty, and alumni. To receive your card, simply visit an ID Services office and present a valid photo ID (driver's license, state ID, passport, or visa) and you must currently be a registered student or staff/faculty member (account created in PeopleSoft).Online learning students who reside outside the Chicago area are also eligible to receive a DePaul Card, without a face picture, to show their affiliation with DePaul, access library resources and apply for relevant student discounts. Online learning students may request a DePaul Card here. This card will be mailed to the home address associated with your record. You can verify your home address by logging into Campus Connection and checking the Addresses page under Demographic Portfolio.
DePaul Card purposes for Students, Staff and Faculty:
- Demon Express account
- Make purchases using your meal plan
- Use university printers and copiers
- Access residence halls for approved patrons
- Access Ray Meyer (full-time undergraduates receive a free membership; all other students must purchase a membership at the Ray Meyer membership desk)
- Access computer labs
- Use library services
- Swipe into various buildings and offices during approved access hours
- Cash checks at the Cashier's Office
- Pay using a check at select campus locations
- Access university parking facilities when permit is purchased from Parking Services.
Steps to get a DePaul Card and purposes for Alumni:
- Contact the ARC office to verify that their records indicate you have an Alumni status. Student records must be audited before you are considered Alumni
- Visit an ID Service office to receive the Alumni DePaul Card.
- Use the DePaul Card to:
- Access general university facilities
- Access computer labs located in university Libraries
- Make purchases using Demon Express at accepted vendors
- Use university printers and copiers
- Purchase a Ray Meyer Fitness Center membership at the discounted Alumni rate.
- Law Alumni can also enter the Law library and computer lab.

Demon Express
Demon Express is a debit account offered to current students, faculty and staff of DePaul University with a valid DePaul Card. Money deposited on the account will carry over from quarter to quarter for as long as you are a student or employee of the university.
Demon Express can be used at:
- Cafe
- Bean Caffe
- Laundry in residence halls
- Library to pay fines
- Barnes & Noble bookstores
- Campus Copy Center
- ID Services
- Copy machines and printing in computer labs
- Businesses displaying the Demon Express logo
