Crain’s 40 Under 40 honorees to discuss ‘ripple effect’
CHICAGO — Business
owners will learn how to reshape their company culture to manage less and
accomplish more during a two-part workshop on Sept. 18 presented by the Chicago
Family Business Council and Coleman Entrepreneurship Center at DePaul
University.
The program begins at 4
p.m. at University Center, 525 S. State St., with a session on defining
character traits and the importance of values-driven leadership in the workplace.
Mary
Deibert, president of KIARA, will explain how to create character-based leaders
and value-driven performance in business environments. There also will be
information on identifying prominent character traits and adapting a company’s culture.
The second part of the program
begins at 6 p.m., after a 5 p.m. reception. A panel discussion titled “Multiply
Your Ripple Effect: Defining Your What, Why, and How” will feature four of the
Crain’s Chicago Business 40 Under 40 honorees revealing the strategies that led
to the development of their innovative business ventures. Panelists will plunge
into the methods of setting and achieving goals, increasing efficiencies and
making a bigger splash in their communities.
Attendees will discover how
to radically expand and increase output from their company while also staying
true to their vision. Jill Hebert, CEO and founder of Matrex Exhibits, the
largest woman-owned exhibit agency in the United States, will moderate.
Attendees may sign up
for either the two-part program or separate sessions. The fee is $50, free to
the CFBC and DePaul communities, and special discount for Crain’s subscribers
and 1871 members. Registration is required at http://tinyurl.com/UncommonQuestions2.
