DePaul University's Master of Science in Taxation Program Ranked No. 1 in Nation

DePaul University’s Master of Science in Taxation program was ranked the No. 1 tax program in the nation in a survey conducted by JobsInTax of heads of corporate tax firms and alumni of MST programs.

JobsInTax.com, part of TaxTalent, the largest online network of tax professionals, announced the highest-regarded master’s in tax programs based on the separate survey responses of heads of corporate tax departments (151 participants) and alumni of MST programs (184 participants). The combination of these two surveys provides a valuable index of which MST schools are consistently held in high regard by both alumni and those hiring tax professionals.

“For decades we have been advising tax professionals on their careers and the discussion inevitably starts with the appropriate educational choices,” said TaxTalent president Tony Santiago. “JobsInTax and the TaxTalent network of companies are now providing these annual rankings of MS tax programs so that those in the field are better able to manage their own tax careers.”

Ronald Marcuson, visiting professor in the School of Accountancy and director of the MST program in DePaul’s 100-year-old Driehaus College of Business, said he was pleased to receive such a distinction.

“We’re honored to be ranked so highly among these prestigious institutions,” said Marcuson, a retired Ernst & Young partner. “It’s a statement about the quality of students we graduate and the quality of our program. It is recognition of the value we provide to employers and graduates of the program.”
