Update: DePaul Campuses Will Be Closed Thursday, Will Reopen Friday

DePaul University will remain closed on Thursday, Feb. 3, to allow local authorities additional time for snow clearing operations that will make travel to the university's campuses safer and easier. The university will resume normal business operations on Friday, Feb. 4. All classes scheduled for Friday will be held.

All campuses and all buildings will remain closed on Thursday except for the Lincoln Park Student Center, which will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for food service for residential students and other campus community members, and the Ray Meyer Fitness and Recreation Center, which will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Note: DePaul has scheduled the Ray Meyer Center to be open from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday as a convenience for students, faculty and staff who can safely get to it.

DePaul highly recommends that faculty, staff and students use public transportation, if possible, for returning to campus. Be advised that most side streets have little to no parking available due to snow accumulation and city plowing operations.  While the university has daily parking available in the Clifton Avenue parking deck, the inventory of space may be depleted quickly due to the lack of street parking.

Please also be advised that the men’s basketball game versus the University of Notre Dame at the Allstate Arena will be played as scheduled on Thursday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m.

DePaul closed early on Tuesday, Feb. 1, and was closed on Wednesday, Feb. 2 due to the blizzard.
