DePaul Digital Cinema Students Invite Public to Fall “In Love With A Nun” as a Valentine’s Prelude

Those looking for the perfect way to warm up for Valentine’s Day are invited to a screening of “In Love with a Nun.”  The romantic comedy short film, to be screened Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. at Chicago’s Portage Theater, explores the complications facing a high school student whose romantic inclinations are thwarted when his girlfriend decides to become a nun.

 

The film was produced as part of the DePaul University School of Cinema and Interactive Media’s annual Project Bluelight.  It was written and directed by Ron Eltanal who also wrote the score for this light-hearted musical in the vein of Indie favorites “Once” and “Juno.”

 

What:               Screening of “In Love With A Nun”

 

When:              Friday, Feb. 13, at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

 

Where:             Portage Theater, 4050 W. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago.

  

Tickets are $7 and will be available at the door. Also to be screened is "Cheap Seats" by writer-director Jim Syrek which also was funded by Project Bluelight and features musical numbers set in high school.  A question-and-answer session and live musical performances of songs from the movie will follow the screenings.
