DePaul Hosts Talk On The Financial And Economic Crisis

As the recession enters a new year, questions about the financial future loom large.

DePaul University Economics Professor Thomas Mondschean will address these issues during a discussion titled “The U.S. Financial Crisis: How We Got Here and What Do We Do About It?” on Jan. 13 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Room 314B of the DePaul’s Student Center, 2250 N. Sheffield Ave.  The event is sponsored by DePaul’s colleges of Communication and Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the Economics Club.


A member of DePaul’s faculty since 1987, Mondschean teaches money and banking and macroeconomics.  His research on financial institutions and the economics of transition has been published in leading economic and finance journals. He also has conducted research for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
