Media Alert: DePaul Unveils Mock Trading Room For Students Sept. 9

WHO:  Ray Whittington, dean of the College of Commerce and Kellstadt Graduate School of Business; and Ali Fatemi, chair of the Department of Finance, DePaul University

 

WHAT: Will join faculty and members of the finance industry to officially launch DePaul University’s new virtual trading room for undergraduate finance and computational finance graduate students.  The colorful facility features state-of-the art technology and financial data services, including a live electronic ticker spanning two walls of the room and large monitors with the latest financial news.

 

The room has eighteen dual-monitor computer stations with access to feeds from newswire services, analytical tools and portfolio analytics, trading platforms and risk management software. Data services include Morningstar Direct, Morningstar Advisor, Bloomberg, Bara, Thompson Financial, Capital IQ and Aspen Graphics.

WHEN: TUESDAY, SEPT. 9
