The introduction and program will begin at 8:30 p.m., with the films to follow at 9 p.m.
The third annual festival will feature a dozen of the top DePaul student-produced narrative, experimental, music-video, and documentary films, all shown on a big screen under the stars. DePaul launched its program in Digital Cinema – a groundbreaking, comprehensive program representing a convergence of cinema, technology, animation and gaming – in 2004 with two bachelor’s degree programs. Two graduate degree programs were added in 2006.
The School of Cinema and Interactive Media is part of DePaul’s innovative College of Computing and Digital Media (CDM). With 3,079 students enrolled in its undergraduate and graduate programs, CDM is one of the largest colleges of its kind in the nation. The university has invested more than $1.3 million during the past two years alone in state-of-the-art labs, facilities and specialized equipment for the college.
In case of inclement weather, the films will be shown in rooms 161 and 254 of the Schmitt Academic Center, 2320 N. Kenmore Ave.
