DePaul Center for Financial Services InauguratesQuarterly Investment Strategy Discussion May 6
DePaul University’s Center for Financial Services will launch Investment Strategy Update, a new quarterly event for Chicago-area investment and financial services professionals, May 6 with a panel discussion featuring prominent leaders from these industries.
Panelists will be: Paul Kasriel, senior vice president and director of economic research, The Northern Trust Co., who also is a clinical professor of finance at DePaul; David Chalupnik, senior managing director and head of equities, FAF Advisers (a subsidiary of U.S. Bank); and William Martin, chief risk officer, Commonfund. Brad Tank, global head of fixed income asset management, Lehman Brothers, will moderate.
“This quarterly event helps the center fulfill one of its missions—to create a regular forum to discuss national and international banking and financial services issues that are relevant to the local financial services industry,” said William Obenshain, executive director of the Center for Financial Services. The center was created in DePaul’s Department of Finance last year to coordinate financial services research, industry outreach and degree programs, including new MBA concentrations in banking and investment management that DePaul’s business school began offering in the fall.
The free event begins at 3:30 p.m. and will be followed by a 5 p.m. reception in Room 8206 of the DePaul Center, 1 E. Jackson Blvd., Chicago Reservations are necessary as space is limited.
