DePaul to Host College Fair for Chicago High School Students March 20

Institutions from 18 States and District of Columbia Represented at Illinois College Exposition

Representatives from approximately 125 colleges and universities will descend upon DePaul University’s Lincoln Park Campus March 20 for the Illinois College Exposition, giving Chicago high school students and their parents a rare opportunity to evaluate schools from all over the country under one roof. The event begins at 6 p.m. at DePaul’s Student Center, 2250 N. Sheffield Ave.

The second annual event, sponsored by the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling, is specifically aimed at public and private high school students in the City of Chicago. Participants will have the opportunity to visit one-on-one with the colleges’ representatives to learn about academic programs and campus life, discuss admission requirements, review financial aid and housing options, and ask other questions about the individual institutions.

The event is free, and no pre-registration is required. Use of public transportation is encouraged. The student center is one block south of the Fullerton CTA “L” stop (Red, Brown and Purple lines), and the #77 Fullerton bus route. Limited parking is available at the Sheffield Garage, 2331 N. Sheffield Ave., and at the Clifton Parking Deck, 2330 N. Clifton Ave., just three blocks west of Sheffield.

With a total enrollment of 23,401 students on two city and four suburban campuses, DePaul is the largest Catholic university in the nation and the largest private, not-for-profit university in the Midwest. DePaul is an innovative and diverse university offering pragmatic educational programs that instill values, including a commitment to community service.
