Cardinal George to Celebrate Mass for College Students at DePaul University on Feb. 15

Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I., Archbishop of Chicago, will return to DePaul University’s Lincoln Park Campus Feb. 15 to celebrate Mass at 7 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1010 W. Webster Ave.

The Eighth Annual Mass for College Students is open to Chicago-area college students as a special opportunity to affirm and rejoice in their faith. Bishop Peter Sartain of the Diocese of Joliet also will be on hand to concelebrate the Mass. This yearly event is traditionally held at Holy Name Cathedral, but minor renovations there have caused the change in location for this year’s Mass.

With a total enrollment of 23,149 students on two city and four suburban campuses, DePaul University is the largest Catholic university in the nation and the largest private, not-for-profit university in the Midwest. DePaul is an innovative and diverse university offering pragmatic educational programs that instill values, including a commitment to community service, and has been named as one of the nation’s top “Colleges With a Conscience” by the Princeton Review.
