DePaul Hosts Corporate Governance and Enterprise Risk Management Event Feb. 2
The Center for Strategy, Execution, and Valuation (SEV) at the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business will launch its Corporate Governance and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Initiative with a roundtable discussion and workshop about current issues in ERM for executives and corporate board members Feb. 2. The free, public event runs from 7:30 a.m. to noon in Room 8005 of the DePaul Center, 1 E. Jackson Blvd.
The initiative seeks to establish on-going, collaborative research of corporate governance and ERM, incorporating the best practices and extensive studies as well as tenets from the Return Driven Strategy Initiative, a business strategy framework that strives to ethically maximize shareholder wealth.
Mark L. Frigo, director of the center, and Joel Litman, clinical professor of business strategy at DePaul, will lead a discussion of the topic during the first two hours of the event. The workshop will follow, led by Mark Beasley, director of the Enterprise Risk Management Initiative at North Carolina State’s College of Management, whose work, with a number of organizations, focuses on developing guidance to assist boards of directors with their risk management governance.
