Kinko’s Founder And Author Paul Orfalea Will Share His Business Philosophy At DePaul April 19

WHO: Paul Orfalea, founder of Kinko’s and author of “Copy This! Lessons From a Hyperactive Dyslexic Who Turned a Bright Idea Into One of America’s Best Companies” (2005, Workman Pub. Co.)….

WHAT: Will share with DePaul University business faculty and students how he overcame learning differences and used creativity to transform his business from a single copying machine on wheels to the world’s leading billion-dollar business services chain. He will discuss his business philosophy, which embraces entrepreneurship and passion for retail opportunities, and his unique approach to business and life. Orfalea will answer questions and sign copies of his autobiography at the conclusion of his remarks.

BACKGROUND: The event is co-hosted by DePaul’s Department of Management Research Committee and Leo V. Ryan Center for Creativity and Innovation. The Ryan Center, located in DePaul’s College of Commerce, offers workshops, customized training and consultations for individuals, teams and organizations seeking innovative strategies and tools for breakthrough thinking. The center was named among the top-10 university “entrepreneurial hot spots” with “the most innovative programs for fledgling business owners” by Fortune Small Business magazine in its March 2006 issue.
