Palestinian And Israeli Reconciliation Will Be Discussed By Global Middle East Empowerment Group At DePaul April 28
Members of One Voice, a civilian leadership organization aimed at securing reconciliation between Palestinians and Israelis, will share strategies for peace between the two nations at a discussion to be held at 5 p.m. April 28 at DePaul University, Richardson Library, 2350 N. Kenmore Ave., Room 417.
Gazit Orit and Sari Husseini, youths from One Voice’s civilian leadership program, will give accounts of how young Palestinian and Israeli leaders are working together to take action towards reconciliation between the two groups and to take a stand against extremism.
One Voice is a new international organization that is working to achieve consensus on core issues concerning Palestine and Israel in hopes of providing “a road map for conflict resolution,” according to its Web site.
The discussion is being held in partnership with DePaul’s Cultural Center, which implements educational programming for the university’s multi-ethnic and multicultural community. The discussion is free and open to the public.
