Women In Information Technology Discuss Diverse Career Options At DePaul University June 29

A group of the top female executives in the Chicago information technology industry will gather June 29 at DePaul University’s School of Computer Science, Telecommunications and Information Systems (CTI) for a panel discussion on approaching a career track from a variety of fields.

The two-hour program, “Women in IT: Diverse Career Paths,” will be held at 5:30 p.m. at DePaul’s CTI Building, 243 S. Wabash Ave. The panel is the third in a series, and the participants, who have achieved a proven track record of success in their industries, will share their experiences, challenges, triumphs and career insights. The event will be a both a learning experience and a networking opportunity.

Among those scheduled to participate in the panel are:

•    Laurel McGrath, vice president for global real estate, American Express

•    Lorilee Sadler, consultant for technology and workforce development, former chief technology officer for Unext.com

•    Ellen Barry, chief information officer, Metropolitan Pier Authority

•    Linda Knight, associate dean, DePaul CTI
