Workshop On DePaul University’s Lake Forest Campus Focuses On Life Balance Strategies

Wondering how to best balance work with the rest of your life? Want to make a start in reaching your career and personal goals?

If so, you should attend the workshop “Your Type of Life Balance Strategies,” which will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 11 on the Lake Forest Campus, 150 Field Drive. The cost is $20.

DePaul management professor Helen LaVan will help participants develop life strategies based on their strengths, values and goals. The workshop is centered on the extensive Myers-Briggs personality indicator, which all participants will take.

Understanding characteristics unique to the 16 distinct personality types provides insight on how they influence an individual’s way of communicating and interacting with others, notes LaVan, a professional trainer and consultant for many public and private companies.

She is certified as a career manager by the International Association of Career Management Professionals and as a counselor by the National Board of Certified Counselors.

This is the first in a series of life-enhancing workshops DePaul is offering this spring on its five suburban campuses.
