Discover Extra Time in Your Life Through Workshop Offered At DePaul University's Naperville Campus

By saving just 15 minutes per day, you could rack up eight extra days per year. That doesn’t sound bad for most of us who feel pressed for time in both work and personal life.

Helen LaVan, a professor of management for undergraduate and graduate students within DePaul’s College of Commerce, will help participants find those extra minutes through her workshop “Time Management,” which will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 6 on DePaul University’s Naperville Campus, 150 Warrenville Road. Admission is $20.

Participants will create awareness of why they should want to manage their time and learn how to use three important but simple time management tools: analysis of time wasters, a time log, and a to-do list.

Along with teaching courses, LaVan is a professional trainer who has conducted training programs on time management, team building, communications, supervision, stress management and change management.

She has worked as a consultant for many public and private companies and is certified as a career manager by the International Association of Career Management Professional and as a counselor by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
