DePaul University’s Naperville Campus Hosts Spring Lecture Series With Focus On Bringing Creativity To Life
Some of the region’s foremost experts on the topic of creativity in the workplace and life will take part in a spring lecture series at DePaul University’s Naperville Campus.
The lectures are open to students, alumni and the public. All lectures will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at DePaul’s Naperville Campus, 150 W. Warrenville Road.
§ April 12: “Enhancing Creativity and Performance Through Emotional Intelligence”
David Drehmer is the founder and director of The Performance Enhancement Institute, a clinical psychological service and consulting firm for people in business, education, law, sports and the arts. He specializes in the effects of stress on work and performance. In his lecture, he will address the effects of change on creativity and will teach skills for managing emotions to achieve successful performance in life and work. Drehmer also is an associate professor of management in DePaul’s nationally ranked Kellstadt Graduate School of Business part-time MBA program.
§ May 10: “Innovation 101: Generating Creative Ideas for Your Business”
Lisa Gundry is a professor of management in DePaul’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and is director of the Leo V. Ryan Center for Creativity and Innovation at DePaul. Her presentation will focus on learning creative tools to help your business energize and engage its employees and team members.
§ June 7: “Creative Problem Solving”
Once again, Lisa Gundry will discuss creativity issues. Her presentation will introduce the concepts behind creative problem solving, a multi-step approach for business innovation and performance. Skills to help approach problems and opportunities in the home and the workplace will be detailed.
