New DePaul University Naperville Advisory Board Links Campus And Community
Five years ago, DePaul University made an investment in the city of Naperville when it opened a full-service academic campus there. Today, DePaul is continuing that commitment to the area through its Naperville Advisory Board.
DePaul’s Naperville Advisory Board is a means to continue and build upon the foundation of open communication between the university and local community, as well as provide a venue for dialogue between the two entities. The board will address such issues as local investment, educational and business growth, small business issues and economic development.
“As I’ve said before, DePaul is a partner in the Naperville community and this advisory board is further evidence of that,” said Bill Calzaretta, executive director of suburban campuses, who also recently served as chairman of the board for the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. “Our goal is to work with business and community groups to continually strive to make Naperville a better place to live and work.”
The board currently consists of the following local business, education and civic leaders:
· Don Bartyzel, president, Encompass Electrical Technologies
· Mary Ann Bobosky, director of community relations, Naperville Community School District 203
· Russ Cancilla, general manager of global property management and services, BP America, Inc.
· Robert Ciesla, high chief ranger, Catholic Order of Foresters
· Carmen S. DiGiovine, founding partner, DiGiovine, Hnilo, Jordan and Johnson, Ltd.
· James Ondyak, group vice president and president, process division, Ondeo Nalco Company
