DePaul Business School Will Present Awards To Business Leaders At Financial Market Update Event

     DePaul University's College of Commerce will present awards to three prominent Chicago business executives at its Financial Market Update event May 16.

     Sondra A. Healy, chairman of the board of Turtle Wax, Inc., will receive the Business Leadership Award; Howard L. Stone, senior managing director of American Express Tax and Business Services, Inc., will receive the Civic Leadership Award; and William L. Bax, managing partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Chicago, will receive the Alumni Award of Merit. Healy will attend the event to receive her award.

     "The College of Commerce's Honors Committee chose these three distinguished business executives to receive its annual awards based on their overall career performance, significant accomplishments in the business world and dedication to DePaul University," said Arthur Kraft, dean of the College of Commerce.

     DePaul's Financial Market Update event will feature a panel discussion by author and nationally syndicated finance columnist Terry Savage and four top money managers who will offer forecasts for the economy and the financial markets. The morning event, including awards presentation and networking continental breakfast, begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza, 350 N. Orleans St. It is sponsored by DePaul's College of Commerce Alumni Association and presented by LaSalle Bank, with additional support from DePaul's Institute for Business and Professional Ethics and Ledger & Quill, the DePaul School of Accountancy alumni association.
