Catholic Social Teaching On Welfare Reform Will Be Discussed At DePaul University Lecture March 16

The Rev. Thomas Massaro">, S.J., of the Weston School of Theology, Cambridge, Mass., will deliver an address entitled "What Does Catholic Social Teaching Say About Welfare Reform?" at 6:30 p.m. March 16 in Room 314 of DePaul University's Richardson Library, 2350 N. Kenmore Ave.

Massaro's talk, the Second Annual Fredrick Ozanam Lecture sponsored by DePaul's Office of University Mission, is free and open to the public. The lecture is named after Blessed Frederick Ozanam (1813-1853), founder of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the largest international lay charitable organization in the Catholic Church with over 900,000 members. Ozanam, who was a professor at the University of Paris at the Sorbonne, is the patron of university professors.
