Eugene Delaney, Senior V.P. & General Manager Of Motorola's Global Telecom Solutions Group, Joins DePaul Board of Trustees

Eugene Delaney, senior vice president and general manager of the Global Telecom Solutions Group of Motorola, Inc., has been elected to DePaul University’s Board of Trustees by the Members of the Corporation. Delaney is one of four new trustees joining the board this spring.

Delaney, 42, of Arlington Heights, joined Schaumburg-based Motorola in 1978 as a financial analyst. In a series of promotions from 1986 to 1997, Delaney moved up the corporate ranks at Motorola from comptroller to vice president and director of central/northwest operations of the Pan American Wireless Infrastructure Group to vice president and general manager of the Japan Cellular Infrastructure Division. In 1997 he was elected corporate vice president and general manager of the Cellular Infrastructure Group. In 1999, he was elected to his current position.

Delaney earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University and an MBA in finance from DePaul’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

Also joining the board this spring are: Pamela Strobel, executive vice president of Unicom, the Hon. Anne Marie Burke, Illinois Appellate Court Justice, and Ernesto Nieto, founder and director of the National Hispanic Institute.
