"Salmon Day" Author Douglas Lamont Will Discuss Global Business At Border's Books Book Signing Jan. 26

Douglas Lamont, author of "Salmon Day: The End of the Beginning for Global Business," (Capstone Books, 1997) will discuss and sign his book at 7 p.m. Jan. 26 at Border’s Books, 2817 N. Clark St. The event is free and open to the public.

Lamont’s book examines how managers and executives should refashion their global business plans for the new millenium. Lamont, an international marketing expert, is also author of "Global Marketing," "Winning Worldwide: Strategies for Dominating Global Markets, "Forcing Our Hand: America's Trade Wars in the 1980s," and "Foreign State Enterprises: A Threat to American Business."

Lamont has been a visiting professor in the marketing department of DePaul’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business since 1997. He is managing director of Douglas Lamont & Associates, an international marketing consulting firm. Prior to joining DePaul, he was visiting professor/senior lecturer in international business at the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management from 1984 to 1991. Prior to that, he was dean of the Walter Heller Business School at Roosevelt University. From 1973 to1979 he was senior planner for the University of Wisconsin system.
