Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Studs Terkel will read from his new book "The Spectator" at DePaul University’s Merle Reskin Theatre, 60 E. Balbo Dr., at 5:30 p.m. Oct 10.

Using more than 40 never-before published interviews with the giants in film and theater, Terkel employs his unique interviewing style to give an up-close glimpse of the actors, directors, playwrights, dancers, lyricists and others who have built the look and feel of dramatic arts during the past century.

Terkel also will answer questions and sign copies of his book. The evening’s dialogue will carry the frank, funny and often moving trademark that only the passionate and knowledgeable Studs Terkel can achieve.
