H. Rodkin Appointed Director of DePaul University's
Driehaus Center for International Business
Henry H. Rodkin, 63, executive in residence and marketing faculty member at DePaul University’s College of Commerce, has been appointed director of the college’s Richard H. Driehaus Center for International Business effective Jan. 1. Rodkin, a resident of Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood, succeeds Mark Sullivan, who returns to DePaul’s accountancy faculty.
The Driehaus Center was established in 1993 with a contribution from the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation and gifts from other donors. The center’s goals are to enhance international educational opportunities for students and faculty in DePaul’s College of Commerce and Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and to forge global links to accomplish this goal.
The center sponsors a variety of business seminars for faculty and students in countries around the globe, including seminars during the last year in Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, Poland and Italy. The center also has established exchange student arrangements with business schools in Finland, Austria and Sweden and, at DePaul, hosted guest speakers from Guatemala, Russia and many other countries during the last year.
As director, Rodkin will develop alliances and innovative programs that meet the international objectives of the business school. Prior to joining DePaul’s faculty, Rodkin was president, International Trade Operations for AMF, Inc. and vice president, Marketing-International for the Maremont Corp.
