Classroom Computing and UNIX Computer Fees Policy Purpose To allocate a portion of the cost of the computer classrooms and the Hawk (UNIX) system to students who are the primary users of this equipment. Scope PolicyWith the approval of the Strategic Resource Allocation Committee, two computer fees have been implemented to allocate a portion of the cost of the computer classrooms and the Hawk/UNIX system to students who are the primary users of this equipment. A memo explaining the purpose and implementation of the fees was sent from the office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs to all deans and faculty members in January, 1995.
UNIX Computing Fee & Account Policies Condor accounts for graduate assistants receiving a stipend from the university are created at no additional cost if the account is used for the specific purpose of assisting faculty in research and instructional activities. A Condor account for graduate assistants is requested by filling out and submitting the Graduate Assistant/Student Grader Account form. All graduate assistant accounts will expire at the end of the academic quarter. An account can be renewed prior to the end of an academic quarter. Only one account can be requested per graduate assistant per quarter. All graduate assistant accounts requests will be verified with the requesting faculty member prior to account creation.
